Game of Thrones Season 7, Episode 5

Last week, Game of Thrones bowled us over with the action-heavy “The Spoils of War.” What does it have in store for “Eastwatch,” the new episode airing tonight, and how can you watch it? Read on.

Like  last week, HBO has not released an official synopsis for “Eastwatch.” But there is an official trailer:

Between threatening to kill the surviving Lannister soldiers if they don’t join her and making one of her dragons roar in Jon Snow’s face, Daenerys looks like she’s feeling pretty good about herself after last week’s Loot Train Attack.

But the most interesting part of the trailer comes at the end, when we get a glimpse of the Night King’s army — it looks like Bran is warging into that conspiracy of ravens to spy on the lot of them. Up to this point, season 7 has been concerned mostly with the war for the Iron Throne in the south. It may be time to turn our attention north. The title of the episode supports this, as Eastwatch-By-The-Sea is the name of a castle on the Wall; it’s the one where Tormund and the Brotherhood Without Banners were all heading last we saw them, in fact.
